Modern Warfare 2 PS3 patch released
Fixes trophies as multiplayer servers go down
Infinity Ward has released a patch for the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2, which fixes Trophy unlocks in both multiplayer and Spec Ops.
Unfortunately, in the process of releasing the patch PS3 gamers' mammoth demand for Modern Warfare caused the PSN servers to come crashing down.
According to community man Robert Bowling, the PSN crash - which now seems to have been resolved - had nothing to do with the Modern Warfare update. "[Sony] are adding more bandwidth servers to meet MP demand. The Patch was for SP only," he Tweeted.
"PSN Multiplayer should [now] be running at full capacity. We expect smooth skies ahead."
A second, "party invite update" which be released on PSN by the end of the week, Bowling promised.
