PS3 Slim production contracts awarded
Taiwanese manufactures get the gig
Slim production contracts have reportedly been awarded to two Taiwanese manufactures.
According to UDN.com (via Joystiq), sources indicate that Foxconn and Pegatron, both of whom have previously manufactured PS3, will share production of the orders.
The units are expected to start shipping in early July "to cope with expected summer vacation demands," according to the piece.
The report follows on from a story earlier this week which tipped PS3 Slim for an autumn release.
To date, Sony has insisted that it has no plans for a redesigned PS3 despite a very real box being shown on the net.
