Three Ripstone games to become part of the Playstation presents program

r

Indie game publisher Ripstone teams up with Sony for an upcoming PlayStation®Plus Presents three game exclusive

Newly formed game publisher Ripstone® (known for titles such as Pure Chess) has announced three new titles in collaboration with Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCEE) PlayStation®Plus Presents service.

Ripstone is pleased to announce that Knytt Underground, Big Sky Infinity and an unannounced title will each launch as part of PlayStation®Plus Presents as an eight week exclusive to the service. PlayStation®Plus Presents is a European exclusive initiative which searches for the very best independently developed titles and allows them to be downloaded on the service at no cost for eight weeks after launch.

Knytt Underground is a game developed by Nifflas and Green Hill and is due for release on the PS3 and PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita). Knytt Underground, the sequel to the hugely popular Knytt Series games, will offer players an exciting new platforming experience whilst keeping true to the original game that players worldwide have grown to adore.

Big Sky Infinity is the much anticipated sequel to Really Big Sky. Big Sky Infinity iterates upon its predecessor with similar controls and procedurally generated content to provide another exciting experience for gamers. Big Sky Infinity is being developed by Boss Baddie and VooFoo Studios and is due to be released on the PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

Phil Gaskell, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Ripstone, said: “This is an extremely important partnership for Ripstone, and positions our indie titles and the extremely talented developers behind them as being some of the best in Europe.”

Knytt Underground and Big Sky Infinity will be playable at Gamescom in the Playstation®Plus section of the SCEE booth located in Hall 7.1. Interviews are also available with James Whitehead from Boss Baddie and Nicklas Nygren of Nifflas in Hall 4.2.
