Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a top (down) PS Vita game

silent

4 player co-op fright!

Silent Hill: Book of Memories is the ninth installment from the series since it first started back in 1999 and is due for release on the PS Vita on March 27, and it will be interesting to see how well the game will do although we do expect it to be a top game for the Vita this year.

The new game from Konomi is a bit of a dark horse because we have not heard much regarding the game, which could work in their favor becasue the anticipation level has now begun to grow – just hope we get to learn a little more over this next month? The current top selling game for the Vita is Uncharted: Golden Abyss so it will be interesting to see how Silent Hill: Book of Memories will be able to compete with the popular title from SCE Bend Studio?

The new game from the series will be different in the way that there is to be a co-op campaign and it’s no surprise that the story will revolve around a book full of the players memories, you then have to try and change what has been written to alter your past. The graphics look truly amazing, which you can see for yourself here and while it may not have the scare factor that we have seen with previous games from the series, maybe having more fun is a new direction to go in?

In the beginning of the game you will create your own main character who you can then customize as well, players will need to work together in multiplayer to solve puzzles, defeat creatures and to survive the nightmare you are in. Fans do not need to worry because some of your favorite features are back such as limited resources, dark atmosphere and scare rooms.

The upcoming game is not just for long-term fans but for newcomers as well, and is certainly something those with or getting a PS Vita should look forward too. Take a look at the video below with Producer Tomm Hulett chatting about what to expect.
